					</table><p>Textile company <a href="https://sangamgroup.com/" target="_blank" rel="noopener">Sangam India</a> will procure hybrid renewable energy from a project of Clean Max Enviro Energy Solutions (<a href="https://www.cleanmax.com/" target="_blank" rel="noopener">CleanMax</a>) to support the decarbonization of industrial operations across Rajasthan.</p>
<p>The project combines 30 MW of solar, 20 MW of wind power, and a 2 MWh battery energy storage system (BESS) to deliver round-the-clock power to five manufacturing facilities.</p>
<p>The power will be supplied from CleanMax’s Bhikamkor hybrid project under an intrastate group captive structure, marking an expansion of the company’s footprint in Rajasthan, where it has already commissioned 525 MW of renewable energy capacity across locations, including Bhikamkor and Bikaner, serving customers in technology, manufacturing, and data center segments.</p>
<p>The partnership with CleanMax is expected to further stabilize the power supply and support Sangam’s long-term decarbonization roadmap.</p>
<p>The project is aligned with the Rajasthan Electricity Regulatory Commission’s Green Energy Open Access Regulations, 2025, which enable hybrid renewable projects integrated with storage and streamline procurement for industrial consumers, supporting reliable supply across day-night cycles in a state with high solar irradiation and strong wind potential.</p>
<p>Sangam India, a fully integrated textile manufacturer headquartered in Bhilwara, operates six manufacturing facilities and has already deployed 22 MW of renewable energy capacity, including 17 MW of rooftop solar and a 5 MW wind project in Jaisalmer, as well as biomass-based initiatives such as a cogeneration plant and thermopack systems that use agricultural residues.</p>
<p>CleanMax has a total contracted renewable energy portfolio of approximately 5.7 GW, including around 3.1 GW commissioned capacity as of March 2026.</p>
<p>The company has increased its contracted capacity from 1.75 GW in March 2024 to 4.4 GW in March 2025 and to 5.7 GW by March 2026, with about 1.3 GW commissioned over the past 11 months. CleanMax aims to add more than 1.5 GW of additional capacity by FY 2027 within a broader pipeline exceeding 11 GW.</p>

<p>In October 2025, Sangam India <a href="https://www.mercomindia.com/textile-firm-sangam-india-to-source-wind-solar-energy-from-continuum" target="_blank" rel="noopener">announced</a> that it would procure renewable energy from CGE II Hybrid Energy, a special-purpose vehicle of Continuum Green Energy, to power its manufacturing units in Rajasthan.</p>

					</table><p>Textile company <a href="https://sangamgroup.com/" target="_blank" rel="noopener">Sangam India</a> has awarded an engineering, procurement, and construction (EPC) contract to <a href="https://www.ibvogt.com/" target="_blank" rel="noopener">IB Vogt Solar India</a> to set up a 27 MW solar power project in Sangarh Village, Jaisalmer district, Rajasthan.</p>
<p>The project, which allows a ±5% variation in installed capacity, is intended to increase the company’s captive renewable energy consumption and lower power costs. The arrangement is designed to ensure that the generated power is absorbed within Sangam India’s operations in Rajasthan.</p>
<p>The EPC contract with IB Vogt Solar India covers the complete lifecycle of the solar project, including design, engineering, procurement, construction, and commissioning, although the company has not provided additional details on specific terms, rights, or financial commitments under the agreement.</p>
<p>The disclosure clarifies that there is no shareholding in the entity with whom the agreement is executed, that the parties are not related to the promoter or the promoter group, and that the transaction does not fall within the purview of related party transactions.</p>
<p>The disclosure also specifies that the agreement does not involve the issuance of shares, loan arrangements, or security agreements, and no other disclosures, such as board nominees or potential conflicts of interest, are applicable.</p>
<p>Ib Vogt is a Germany-based integrated large-scale solar developer with operations in India.</p>
<p>Sangam currently sources renewable power from three rooftop solar projects totaling 17 MW and a 5 MW wind project. These initiatives support the company’s long-term strategy to increase renewable energy use and reduce its operational carbon footprint. The company also owns two thermal power projects with a combined capacity of 16 MW.</p>
<p>The company also plans to deploy smart energy management systems with real-time monitoring to optimize consumption, improve load management, and support data-driven energy planning. It has already implemented multiple energy- and emissions-reduction measures, including biomass-based cogeneration plants, and solar-powered streetlights.</p>
<p>For the financial year (FY) 2024-25, the company reported total electricity consumption of 29,43,223 gigajoules, of which 166,379 was from renewable sources (5.65%). In the previous financial year, the total electricity consumption was 33,19,618 gigajoules, of which 2.19% (72,618 gigajoules) was from renewables.</p>
<p>The company reported an energy intensity per rupee of turnover adjusted for purchasing power parity (which measures the energy consumption intensity of a company relative to its revenue, reflecting the efficiency and effectiveness of its energy management practices) of 0.00251996 in FY24, reduced to 0.00213883 in FY25.</p>
<p>In October this year, Sangam India <a href="https://www.mercomindia.com/textile-firm-sangam-india-to-source-wind-solar-energy-from-continuum" target="_blank" rel="noopener">announced</a> that it will procure renewable energy from CGE II Hybrid Energy, a special purpose vehicle of Continuum Green Energy, under the captive mode to power its manufacturing units in Rajasthan. The company aimed to increase renewable power consumption to 12 MW across its plants in the villages of Atun, Sareri, and Billiya Kalan in the Bhilwara district.</p>

<p>Sangam announced that it has acquired 114.2 million shares with a face value of ₹10 (~$0.11) each, corresponding to a 3.86% equity stake in the wind-solar hybrid project.</p>
<p>A share purchase and shareholders&#8217; agreement have been executed between Sangam, CGE II Hybrid Energy, and Continuum Green Energy.</p>
<p>Sangam aims to increase renewable power consumption to 12 MW for the company’s plants located in the villages of Atun, Sareri, and Billiya Kalan in Bhilwara district.</p>
<p>Sangam India said no government or regulatory approvals are required for the transaction.</p>
<p>As of March 31, 2025, CGE II Hybrid Energy reported an authorized share capital of ₹3.25 billion (~$36.66 million) and a paid-up share capital of ₹2.84 billion (~$32.04 million).</p>
<p>Sangam sources renewable energy from three solar projects generating 13 MW and a 5 MW wind energy project. These initiatives align with the company’s long-term strategy to increase the use of renewable energy sources and reduce its carbon footprint across operations.</p>
<p>Additionally, the company plans to implement smart energy management systems with real-time monitoring, optimizing usage, improving load management, and enabling data-driven energy planning.</p>
<p>Sangam has implemented several energy and emissions reduction measures, including the adoption of rooftop solar panels and wind energy systems.</p>
<p>For the financial year 2024–25, the company reported total electricity consumption from renewable sources of 166,379.60 gigajoules, increasing from 72,618.37 gigajoules in FY 2023–24.</p>
<p>Several textile firms in India are switching to solar and wind energy to power their operations and reduce their carbon footprint. Recently, Rajasthan-based textile manufacturer Nitin Spinners <a href="https://www.mercomindia.com/nitin-spinners-increases-renewable-energy-procurement-with-continuum-deal" target="_blank" rel="noopener">announced</a> that it will procure 18 MW of power from Continuum Green Energy’s wind-solar hybrid projects.</p>
