Goa’s state government has signed a memorandum of understanding with German-based Deutsche Gesellschaft für Internationale Zusammenarbeit (GIZ) to develop a state energy plan for a 100% renewable energy roadmap under the Indo-German Program on ‘Access to Energy in Rural Areas.’ The MoU has been signed on the advise of the Ministry of New and Renewable Energy (MNRE), with an aim to create a strategic unit to develop, maintain and implement the multi-sectoral action plan.
