Egypt signed agreements for renewable energy and battery storage projects totaling 5.62 GW. The deals include wind and solar projects, as well as large-scale battery storage systems. A key project is a 900 MW wind farm in Ras Shukeir, developed by a consortium including Orascom Construction, Engie, and Toyota Tsusho. Additional agreements cover a 2,000 MW solar project in Nagaa Hammadi and a 2,000 MWh storage facility, along with smaller solar projects.
