Egypt laid the foundation stone for the Atum Solar manufacturing complex in the Suez Canal Economic Zone, a $210 million project being developed by a consortium of partners from China, the UAE, Bahrain, and Egypt. Located in the TEDA industrial zone, the facility will have an annual capacity of 2 GW each for solar cell and solar module manufacturing. The consortium includes JA Solar (China), Global South Utilities (UAE), Infinity Capital (Bahrain), and AH for Industrial Management and Consulting (Egypt).
