Malaysia Allocates 563 MW for Solar in Second Large Auction

Suruhanjaya Tenaga, Malaysia’s Energy Commission, awarded a total of 563 MW of solar in its second large scale solar tender, against the original planned capacity of 460 MW. These projects are expected to be commissioned by 2019-2020. The Peninsular Malaysia region saw a total of 507 MW solar capacity allocated across 30 projects, while the capacity allocated in Sabah and Labuan region totaled 56 MW in 11 projects.
