The European Bank for Reconstruction and Development (EBRD) has announced the financing of a 50 MW solar power project in southern Kazakhstan. The proposed financing package arranged by the EBRD includes a local currency loan of up to  $40.4 million in Kazakhstan Tenge and a loan of up to $10 million from the Green Climate Fund (GCF).
