The Ministry of New and Renewable Energy proposed an amendment to reduce the minimum module efficiency requirement for off-grid solar projects included in the Approved List of Models and Manufacturers. The minimum efficiency for crystalline silicon technology modules used in off-grid solar projects will be reduced to 18% from 19%, per the proposed amendment. The efficiency for cadmium telluride thin film technology modules will remain the same.
